The Student Award Scheme seeks to identify and reward students who make significant and positive contributions in classroom performance, service and leadership, and participation and representation at Sylvania High School.
Sylvania High endeavours to provide a positive and supportive learning environment for our students. Students are expected to follow the values of Respect and Responsibility. Students who disrupt the learning of others may face a range of sanctions until they are prepared to contribute positively to the learning outcomes of the class. School uniform is enforced and well supported by our parent community. The students are proud of the school and should wear the correct uniform with pride.
Our school has an effective support network for students with a Welfare team and a Learning Support team who are able to assist students in their life at school. Staff on these teams include the: Head Teacher Welfare; Year Advisers; Senior Executive; Head Teacher Teaching and Learning; Learning and Support Teachers; Careers Adviser; Counsellor(s) and where necessary classroom teachers.
