Special Religious Education

Special Religious Education (SRE) takes place for one period on a Thursday as follows:

Year 7 undertake a five week block in Terms 1 and 2. Year 8 undertake a seven week block in Terms 2 and 3. SRE providers are Anglican (Christian), Catholic, Orthodox and Non-Scripture. To change the current arrangement send a note to Mrs Turansky (Y7) or Mr Flegg (Y8).

NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. The following organisations provide SRE instruction at Sylvania High School and are approved to provide special religious education in public schools. During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in alternate activities (which could include reading, private study or completing homework).
