About Careers

Career Education at Sylvania High School is concerned with assisting students to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for them to be able to make informed decisions about school and post school education, training and employment options and to enable effective participation in paid and non-paid life activities.

The Career Education program combines units of work in Year 9 (Career Decision Making) and Year 10 (Applying For Jobs)  with individual counselling, excursions and guest speakers. Year 10 students all participate in Mock Job Interviews.
