In week 6, all of the Year Ten Geography students attended a field trip to Cronulla. Our guides for the day were John and Pat from the National Parks and Wildlife. They taught us all about the ecological effects that we have had on the coastal environment and the management strategies. We witnessed things such as disappearing sand dunes, the Bitou bush, the wildlife and many other interesting things.
All of this information we will use for our assessment task on Coastal Management looking at coastal issues and strategies to lessen the impact on this beautiful environment. We all had a well deserved lunch break after walking all around the Cronulla sand dunes and headed home with lots of sand in our shoes.
